Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi

• Depart from Kampala early morning (approx. 8-10 hours drive) via Masaka-Mbarara route.
• Stop at the Equator for a photo opportunity and brief exploration.
• Lunch break in Mbarara town before continuing through scenic landscapes.
• Arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in the evening and check into your lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience

• Early breakfast, then transfer to park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking.
• Guided gorilla trekking in the dense forest (2-6 hours), with an hour to observe and photograph the gorillas.
• Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
• Optional community walk to visit the Batwa pygmies and learn about their culture.
• Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 3: Nature Walk & Lake Bunyonyi Visit

• Breakfast at the lodge followed by an optional forest walk for birdwatching and primate spotting.
• Depart for Lake Bunyonyi, a scenic highland lake with stunning islands and canoeing opportunities.
• Leisure time for swimming, canoeing, or hiking around the lake.
• Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge near Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 4: Return to Kampala

• Breakfast before starting the journey back to Kampala.
• Stopover in Mbarara for lunch.
